Key information about Bumblebees:

• Bumblebees live in nests with 50-400 bees (honeybee hives can have up to 60,000 individuals)
  
• Bumblebee nests only produce a small amount of honey, which they consume themselves
  
• There are 25 different species in the UK, and they have different lengths of tongue so can feed from and pollinate a wide variety of plant species
  
• Bumblebees can sting but only do so if they are provoked
  
• Some food crops, including tomatoes and field beans, are reliant on bumblebees for pollination.
  

• Offered as a card with 4 garden bees, these bumblebee species are widespread garden visitors in the UK, so this card can be used as an ID guide.
• Printed from an original ink and watercolour illustration by Sheffield artist Laura Martin
• Printed on 100% recycled cardstock (300gsm). Cardstock shade can vary slightly between batches and contain tiny flecks and imperfections of colour (not sure how to word this well or if it needs including – it’s very subtle, but makes it more characterful/natural looking)
• Blank inside so suitable for any occasion
• Provided with a recycled brown kraft envelope and a compostable display bag
• Packaging is plastic free
