How To Commission Your Wedding Portraits:
- Please email me your photos in the first instance. Please try to include a good clear photo taken from the angle you would like it painted and remember bright conditions and sunlight are best to bring out all the colours of the brickwork and tiles.
- After checking your photos, I will get back to you with a price including p&p. I may give advice as to what to include and what to leave out based on my experience of what makes a good composition. We will discuss sizes and timescales.
- After our discussions and you are happy to go ahead, I require full payment in advance please.
- I will paint your venue looking exactly the way you want it, I will keep you fully informed by regular emails, allowing you to check on the work in progress and I may ask further questions along the way so that your venue illustration looks just right.
- I take the utmost care with your venue painting, so please allow 2-3 weeks from payment to completion.
- My paintings are normally supplied unmounted, so you can choose your own mount and frame to match your room decor, but I can supply a mount if you would prefer this.
- I post all my commissioned original artwork by Royal Mail Special Delivery; this has proved to be a very reliable service and is trackable.
- I am only an email or phone call away and would love to hear from you to discuss any individual requirements or questions you may have.

Jan Adams Art Studio offers a unique combination of house and venue portraits alongside original gifts.
My house and venue paintings have evolved over the years. I started off with simple acrylic house paintings for family and friends. This then moved on to paintings for work colleagues and then to a commission of the doctor's surgery building where I work. I realised then that this was something I really enjoyed doing and set about taking it further so I successfully added wedding venue paintings to my portfolio and developed a website. My house paintings have evolved from their humble acrylic beginnings and I now offer the detailed ink and watercolour paintings which you see today. I also paint wildlife and landscapes and enjoy experimenting with different media. I have recently started making whimsical house paintings using fabric and thread and also textile landscapes. I enjoy pushing the boundaries of this technique and it is certainly something I will develop in the future.
I have sourced a range of beautiful gifts printed with my landscape and wildlife art and these are available to purchase on this site. They range from colourful mugs and coasters to exquisite notebooks, kneeling pads to tote bags. As they are printed with my original artwork they are unique and are great gift ideas for your home.
